Rampant Obesity and Health Care

Obesity in the US is rampant…one in three adults is obese according to latest statistics. The President was adamant about his Health Bill, apparently more adamant than the voters. When so many opposed the change, one would think that there would be a sane and reasonable argument….a question of money? Or health?

Being obese is the source for so many serious medical problems that it would seem that at least 1/3 of the adults would want the coverage..the alternative would be to lose the weight and get healthy. But then, diets don’t work do they? An interesting report by the Mayo Clinic on the nature of nutrition in the US can be found here:
